Ronningen Roofing uses a few different brands of vinyl siding but typically we like to use the Royal brand. The Royal brand is high quality, readily available, and fair priced. When it comes to vinyl siding there is some different profiles that are available for you to choose from. Double 4 (D4), double 4 dutchlap (D4D), double 4.5 dutchlap (D4.5D), Double 5 (D5), double 5 dutchlap (D5D), double 4 vertical, and single 8. The most cost effective vinyl siding is the line Crest. The Crest line has all of the above mentioned profiles available and come in a wide variety of colors. Royal Crest has a panel thickness of .040. Royal Crest has is designed to withstand winds up to 140 mph when installed correctly. This siding is maintenance free, will stand up to the worst weather, and doesn’t chip, rot, or sag.
Royal Residential is the next step up and the most popular siding line we install. This panel is still very affordable but offers a few upgrades and another different profile called triple 3”. Residential has a panel thickness of .042 and an upgraded wind resistance to withstand winds up to 160 mph when installed correctly. You may notice I keep writing about being installed correctly. There are no products out there that are worth much without being installed correctly, whether its shingles, siding, windows, and the list goes on.
Royal Estate is our premium line of vinyl siding. Estate does come in a limited amount of profiles but they are the most popular, hopefully one works for you. As with all of the other panels listed above, Estate has a gorgeous woodgrain that captures the look of natural wood. Royal Estate is built with the thickness of .044 giving it the durability to withstand more of what Mother Nature has to throw at it or what the neighbor kids have to throw at it. Vinyl siding has 1/3 the environmental impact of fiber cement siding products.
